Civilisation is under siege.
Armed gangs shoot it out in the rubble of shattered, deserted cities, where lawlessness and anarchy reign. For the young people there is no hope. They roam the countryside, dreaming of a mystic resurrection in another world. Thousands of young people are disappearing in a global holocaust, and the harvest of young bodies begins.
The ageing eccentric Professor Quatermass is forced to meet the evil power head-on, in this thrilling science fiction film which comes dangerously close to terrifying reality.
