The Glory Boys

The Glory Boys is a UK VHS release by The Video Collection on 4th November 1985 and distributed by Futurevision Ltd in 3rd November 1986.

Description[]

This gripping thriller is set mainly in London but the backdrop is the all too frighteningly real world of international terrorism.

Rod Steiger plays top Israeli nutclear physicist Professor David Sokarev, officially invited to London deliver a prestige lecture to British scientists.

Thousands of miles away in the hot, dusty Lebanese countryside, fanatical Palestinian freedom fighters are planning Operation Mushroom - a plan to gun down Sokarev in London.

The Arabs have joined forces with an IRA member and together the two young men - The Glory Boys - form a murderous comination stalking the streets of London waiting for the moment to strike.

Appointed to protect Sokarev is special agent, Jimmy, played by Anthony Perkins. His instructions are simple - body to body protection for Sokarev every moment he is on British soil.

Sokarev must stay alive at all costs, even if he, Jimmy, has to die in the process...
