The Best of Tommy Cooper is a UK VHS release by Thames Video on 19th August 1991 and 13th July 1992.
Description[]
Hilarious moments from one of the world's funniest comedians.
If great clowns are born funny, then Tommy Cooper is the greatest of them all. Everything about his physical being conspired to make him innately laughable, from the stumbling outsize feet to the nervously twittering hands, from the towering stork-like presence to the expressive plasticine features.
The fact that Tommy's tricks more often misfired, simply enhanced his technique. His split-second timing generated some of the most side-splitting laughter in the history of British Variety. Add to this the trademark fez, the string of catchphrases, and that maniacal cackle of a laugh, it is not hard to see why his popularity remains undiminished by time.
