Artie Lange filmed a scene for the movie but was edited out of the final cut.

Patricia Arquette, Kate Beckinsale, Bridget Fonda, Winona Ryder and Marisa Tomei were all considered for the part of Dorothy. Mira Sorvino was also considered for Dorothy but the producers wouldn't meet her quote.

Damon Wayans and Mykelti Williamson were considered for the role of Rod Tidwell.

Diane Lane was considered for the role of Avery Bishop.
