Fright Night is a UK VHS release by RCA Columbia Pictures International Video, The Video Collection and Cinema Club. It was first released on Rental in the UK on 24th October 1986. It was re-released on Sell Through by RCA Columbia Pictures Home Video in November 1988. VCI Cinema Club re-released the film on 22nd October 1990. It was again re-released by VCI, Cinema Club and Columbia TriStar Home Video on 20th November 1995. It was re-released on DVD by Columbia TriStar Home Video on 23rd October 2000.

Charley Brewster (WILLIAM RAGSDALE) is a normal American teenager whose mother thinks he watches too many late night horror films.
Charley’s life is pretty uneventful – until he becomes convinced that his suave and sinister neighbour Jerry Dandridge (CHRIS SARANDON) is a vampire. No one, least of all the police, will believe that Dandridge is the vicious killer responsible for a spate of bizarre murders. Charley finds an ally in Peter Vincent (RODDY McDOWALL), a former horror film star and host of TV’s Fright Night Theatre, in his quest to nail the debonair bloodsucker.
But then the nightmare really begins...
