Elvira: Mistress of the Dark is a UK VHS release by New World Video on 4th September 1989 and it got re-released by The Video Collection, Cinema Club and New World Video on 17th February 1992 and 22nd November 1993. It got re-released by VCI and Cinema Club on 28th October 1996 and 25th August 1997.
Description[]
Meet Elvira, the notorious American cult heroine.
This wisecracking vamp wishes to open her own show in Las Vegas but needs $50.000. Suddenly her great aunt Maud dies and Elvira goes to a conservatiove mid-west town to hear the reading of the will. Elvira is disappointed when she learns that she has inherited a delapidated house, a poodle and cook book. To compound this she is accused of being a witch!
Elvira discovers the evil force in the town and finds that only she has the power to stop his evil plans!
