American Buffalo is a UK VHS release by VCI and FilmFour on 27th April 1998. It got re-released by Cinema Club and FilmFour on 3rd February 2003.
Description[]
Dustin Hoffman stars in a big screen adaptation of David Mamet's acclaimed stage drama. Donny (Dennis Franz) is a junk shop owner who believes that he has been cheated out of a valuable coin by a customer, and is now planning to steal it back with the aid of his young sidekick Bobby (Sean Nelson). However, when Donny's friend Teach (Hoffman) hears about the theft, he attempts to shake Donny's confidence in Bobby and take over the robbery. Although Donny is nervous of Teach's aggressive approach, he begins to mistrust Bobby, suspecting him of planning a job with another gang.
